Happy Chinese New Year! It's the year of the ox now, a year for prosperity through patience and hard work. I think that's a perfect fit for Obama's beginning.
We're celebrating in style tonight with two new members of the family! Kyle gave my my birthday present early because we were supposed to go up to Akron this past weekend and I ended up staying home with the flu. Not wanting me to be lonely while he was upstate, Kyle brought home Mokey and Nola.

How cute are they? I'm madly in love with all of their little pig noises already.
I do miss being at home with all my family on the new year, mainly because the food out here in O-hi-o is just not as good as San Francisco dim sum. I'm excited to get out there in a couple weeks and celebrate my Chinese heritage with yumminess. Plus, I get to break out the Chinese wedding dress that my Uncle Denis bought for me. You won't get to see it until after the Napa reception, but here's a little preview:

Good food, guinea pigs, and gorgeous dresses. I like the year of the ox already!
