Ceremony Location: Magic Kingdom

Although Sarah and Fred were married at the base of
Cinderella's Castle, most ceremonies take place
at the Swan Boat Landing.

For many people, the ultimate fairy tale dream is a wedding in the Magic Kingdom. One of the most common questions that Disney brides get asked is, "Are you getting married in front of the castle?" If you're interested in being one of the brides who says, "YES!", here are some quick facts about using the Magic Kingdom as your ceremony location:

  • Magic Kingdom ceremony-only packages cost $28,000.
  • The ceremony package includes a string quartet, a trumpeter, a major domo, ceremony floral (personal and decor), photography, videography, and transportation for you and your guests.
  • Ceremonies begin at 8 AM.
  • Guests ride down Main Street, U.S.A. in motor cars to the ceremony. The bride arrives in a horse-drawn coach.
  • There is a guest limit of 50.
  • In addition to the ceremony package, you must also meet the standard Wishes collection food/beverage minimum and room-night requirements.
  • Ceremonies are held at the foot of Cinderella Castle at the Swan Boat Landing. The landing is on the side of the castle and you've probably seen it as you've walked to Tomorrowland.
  • DFTW has made exceptions for some couples before, but most people get this package. If you're interested in customizing the package in some way, you need to contact DFTW to see if they'll be able to accommodate you.
  • The rain backup for this venue is the Wedding Pavilion.

Disney has recently changed this package. When we began looking into a Magic Kingdom wedding in January 2010, this was still the current price. As of Spring 2010, the package has not been reduced to around $10,000 and does not include as many "extras".
