I was a lucky girl, since I got three pretty wonderful proposals from Kyle before we tied the knot. What I didn't get, however, was that crazy picture perfect Disney proposal that I've seen around the internet and I'm just not going to let it go until I get one. Kyle has promised to propose again when it's time for a vow renewal, but he's also threatened to never do it if I start every Disney trip with "Are you going to propose? Are you? Do you have a ring? Did you set stuff up? Are the cast members in on it?"
For the record, I would never do that...again...
Anyway, in the meantime I've been content to check out other people's wonderful Disney proposals (both real and fake) and now that Disney has officially made themselves a proposal destination, I'm hoping to see many more!

Disney has recently launched a website just for people looking to coordinate their proposals. I love it! On the one hand, it takes a tiny bit away from the creativity of the whole thing, but on the other hand Disney is really good at making magic moments a little more magical! I expect to see some killer stories come out of this new venture.
Here are some of the ideas from their site:
- Complete your duet with the help of dueling pianos at Jellyrolls — an entertaining piano show for Guests 21 years and up at Disney's BoardWalk. The musicians at Jellyrolls will be happy to coordinate your grand proposal. Simply contact a manager at (407) 560-8770 to begin composing your proposal masterpiece.
- Ask next to the Rose Garden in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom® Park. This private niche offers an unobstructed view of the Castle in the background.
- Looking for something with a little more depth? How about renting a pontoon boat on the Walt Disney World® Resort waterways for that extra private proposal? To make a reservation or for marina boating options, call (407) 939-7529.
- For your big, blue world lover, enjoy a romantic table for two next to the largest inland saltwater environment ever built at the Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot®. Towards the end of the meal, arrange for a scuba diver to hold up a sign that reads, "Will you marry me?" against the sea tank window as you get down on one knee and ask the question yourself.
- Ask your special someone's hand in marriage onboard one of two spectacular fireworks cruises. Whether you prefer IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth or Wishes™ Nighttime Spectacular, their jaw will drop like an anchor when you pop the question. Call (407) 939-7529 to book your reservation.
- Experience a royal engagement while dining inside Cinderella Castle. Your Cinderella's Royal Table engagement package includes dinner for two, reserved window seating overlooking Fantasyland®, a specialty chocolate "slipper" dessert, a non-alcoholic champagne toast along with the engagement ring displayed on a bed of rose petals. For assistance coordinating this royal proposal, contact (407) 824-4477.
- Arrange for a proposal as unique as your relationship with a privately catered engagement event by your resort beach, pool, balcony or other various locations. A Disney Cast Member will assist in planning your magical proposal from sunrise to sunset.
- Propose in style by renting out the 48-foot Sea Ray "Grand 1" Yacht at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This elite cruising vessel accommodates a party of up to 13 people and features a small kitchen, dining area and three fully furnished staterooms. Include champagne and strawberries or go all out with a complete catered dinner while onboard. Call (407) 824-2682 to reserve your love boat.

As much as I loved the privacy of my Disney proposal... in a way I wish there were better pictures, just because I don't really remember most of it!
Totally gonna have to "hint" at this with the next guy. My ex proposed at Disneyland, right after we wished in Snow White's Grotto, like we always did.:) It was lovely - and didn't have a price tag other than the ring. ;)
As much as these ideas sound really cool, I couldn't have asked for a better Disney proposal than the one I got. It pretty much had what they're offering now, minus the in-action pictures and the price tag. Even though I got proposed to for almost an entire week, I secretly wish for another one. It's just such a magical experience! If it wasn't for the fact that Mike would hate it, I'd totally propose to him all-out in front of everyone at a Disney park with all the bells and whistles.
Mine had a privately catered engagement event on the balcony of the Grand Floridian. However, it was raining, so it was inside. That didn't stop him from forcing me out in the drizzle to watch the fireworks, followed by an awesome proposal on the balcony. Too bad I didn't know Disney did proposals. It might have been nice to figure it out beforehand and be prepared to actually take it all in.
BTW- I have been following all of your blogs since our engagement in September and am just in love. Your writing style is just amazing and your wedding entries are my personal favorite. Thank you for blogging. Thank you!
What a nice comment! Thank you for reading!!!
Too beautiful!
Wow I had no idea that Disney was so into helping people out with proposals! These are some great ideas though!
Todd recently asked me IN Cinderella's suite in the castle!!! he didnt call ahead or anything. he walked into town hall at magic kingdom where they have guest relations and just asked if he could take me up there to ask me to marry him, they said yes!!! and they didnt even charge him. they said had he called they would have told him no because noone really gets to go up there now. i guess spur of the moment is better sometimes. it was gorgous and memorable!!! and they even took pictures of it happening , so i can look back on all of it.
