How much is a Disney Cruise wedding?
- Onboard weddings are $2,500 and Castaway Cay weddings are $3,500.
- Taxes, government fees, and shore excursions are not included in the package price.
What do the wedding packages include?
- a ceremony
- a marriage license
- an officiant
- a pianist
- a two-tiered cake
- a bottle of Iron Horse cuvee
- steaming for one gown and one tuxedo
- an onboard wedding coordinator
- concierge service
- a complimentary 8x10 photo
- a Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings cake serving set
- stateroom delivery of another bottle of cuvee and chocolate-covered strawberries
- a $100 onboard credit
- a keepsake Disney Cruise Line certificate
How many guests can I bring?
- If you have more than four people, including the bridal couple, you will be charged for an additional bottle of cuvee.
- If you have more than ten people total, you will be charged an additional guest fee of $20 per person. (Children 3 and under don't count toward the guest limit.)
- If you have more than fifty people, you have to get special permission.
Can I customize my wedding?
- Disney cruise weddings have very limited options and there isn't much you can do to change them. If you want to customize many different aspects of your wedding, you might want to consider having a regular Disney wedding at Walt Disney World.
- You also receive less attention from your wedding planner and onboard wedding consultant, simply because these events are so standard and hassle-free, so if you would like more personal attention that's another reason to have a regular Disney wedding.
Do I really need a passport if I'm not planning to get off the ship?
- All guests are required to have valid passports if they want to get on and off the ship, even at Castaway Cay.
- If you're staying on the ship (on a closed circuit cruise) you just need an original birth certificate.
- The big benefit to having a passport regardless of whether or not you are leaving the ship is that they will be able to fly you off the ship if there is a medical emergency. If you only have a birth certificate and you have a medical emergency, they still have to take you back by boat.
- You can also get passport cards instead of passports, which act like a birth certificate. However, you cannot fly with them.
When can I book my Disney Cruise wedding?
- You can book up to twelve months in advance.
- You have to book a cruise first, although you might want to call the wedding people ahead of time to make sure that they'll be able to fit your wedding in before you book your trip.
When do I have to pay for it?
- Full payment for the cruise and ceremony package is due 90 days before departure.
- Fees for additional guest services, like floral or guest fees, are due 30 days before departure.
- Photography is billed to your stateroom on the day of service.
When are the onboard ceremonies held?
- On the Disney Wonder, the ceremonies are held on the day you go to Nassau.
- On the Disney Magic, the ceremonies are held on a sea day.
Can I order food besides cake for the reception?
- No, although you can choose to dine immediately after your ceremony in one of the restaurants. If you do this, they will box your cake up for you and bring it to you at dinner.
Can the ship captain legally marry us?
- Although the captain may perform the ceremony, he cannot legally marry you. You must obtain a Florida marriage license before you sail, so be sure to get the forms and arrange to meet with a notary public. Your Florida marriage license will list your sailing date as your wedding day, regardless of when your ceremony is.
Do I have to use the pianist?
- If you'd rather, you can provide a CD of your selections in your preferred order to your wedding coordinator. You may also provide sheet music for the pianist. If you do not, he/she will play the standard selections.
Can I choose my photographer?
- Only if you book an outside vendor and bring them on the cruise with you. Otherwise, you will be assigned a ship photographer and you will receive your prints beore you leave the ship. You will need to select the photos you want for your album and englargements before you leave the cruise, so don't forget to leave time for this.
Can I rent a tux on the ship?
- Yes, you can rent a tux for an additional fee from Cruiseline Formalwear.
