My sister will actually be getting two baby showers, which isn't uncommon these days. The one that I hosted was for family and in a couple of weeks my other sister will be hosting one for friends. We're doubling up on a lot of the decorations by using them at both parties, but since each baby shower really is a unique event, they needed different invitations.
