I hope you're having a lovely weekend. Ours is packed and going by too fast, so I apologize for the long pauses between posts lately. I've actually had one of those weeks where my posts aren't happening like I thought they would and two of the posts that I put up had to be taken down by request.
Since I'm a little busy and I have to streamline for a little while, there's no theme or giveaway for this week. Instead, I'll be charging through some of those weddings and engagements that have been submitted by readers. So, here are a couple of notes I thought I'd drop in case you had an event you want me to showcase:
- If you submit your wedding or engagement, please make sure you have permission from the photographer (if you're the happy couple) or the happy couple (if you're the photographer). Even if you own the rights to the photos, I will pull the post if I get a complaint from either the couple or the photographer, but I'd rather just not put it up so that I can use the post for someone else. I understand if you aren't in contact with them anymore, but if you can easily check in with them, I would really appreciate it.
- If you previously submitted your event, but you didn't provide a link to the photos or you asked me to email you for photos, please send in your application again with a link. If you don't want to put the photos online, you can email them to me at carly@disneyweddingblog.com. I'd love to email everyone individually, but I just don't have the time and I'm much more likely to spotlight an event if I can see the photos and quickly pull a nice selection.
- If you submitted your photos and you sent a link and I still haven't posted them, you don't have to send them in again because I do still have your information. Although I don't post all of the weddings I see, it's unlikely that I consciously decided to skip yours. I probably just haven't gotten to it. If you have new photos, however, such as photos from your park session or honeymoon session, go ahead and send in a separate application for those.
- I've had a request from someone who wanted me to limit their post to an audience of a select people, or at least block some people. I'm sorry, but I have no idea how to do this and even if I did, it wouldn't make sense to do it on a blog that's supposed to be public. A safer bet would be to share your wedding photos on your Facebook account.
- If you have an event you would like to submit, you can do so here.
I appreciate your patience as I take a break from writing in-depth posts, at least for a little while. There's just something about this summer that keeps me busy with other stuff! Remember, I do accept guest posts from readers, so if you'd like to write something up (a top ten list, a few things you learned at your wedding, decisions you're battling as you plan your big day), feel free to send it to me and I might share it on this site.
Most of all, thanks for reading! I appreciate it!
