The Living Seas Salon is one of the most popular wedding reception venues in the Walt Disney World area. This indoor location is not affected by inclement weather and offers spectacular underwater views as well as close proximity for couples who want to follow their reception with an Illuminations dessert party.
Quick facts:
- Event guides will be assigned to your reception. They will greet your guests outside of the park and escort them to the Living Seas Salon.
- You need to hire transportation to take your guests to and from the park if you book this venue.
- This is the only venue where you can hire Scuba Mickey to greet your guests from inside the fish tank. There are also divers for hire that will interact with your guests. Both Scuba Mickey and the divers may not always be available, so you need to discuss the details with your wedding coordinator if you're interested.
- This venue can hold up to 100 wedding guests and is available for receptions, rehearsal dinners, and farewell brunches.
- Although many of the venues come with white linens at no extra charge, this venue comes with navy linens and a lime green overlay. If you'd rather have white linens (or some other color), you need to make a point of discussing this with your wedding coordinator.
Elevator up to the salon:

Don't worry, these won't be on the elevator. They were just up for the event that was taking place when I was there. Can't you just see your faces superimposed on the elevator, though? :)

Our reception in 2008 was held at Living Seas and it was an amazing location. The aquarium adds a lot interest for guest, while they are waiting for the bride and groom to show up. Our guest were there Im guessing 45 mins or so before we arrived. I have had guest comment on this locations years after attending our reception. They say the loved it, its not like what they have seen before and that is true. Its breath taking and fun to watch the fish and Scuba Mickey, swim by. Yes Mickey swam by to say hi to our guest and take photos. Those photos are amazing and come out very well through the glass. I would love to have a party at this location again someday. :)
