That being said, I remember going straight into stress-mode after the new year, when we suddenly realized how many decisions we had to make and how lost we were about getting started with the wedding planning. To make things just a touch easier, I rounded up a few posts that you might find helpful if you're just starting to take your first steps into the wedding bubble:
As you start the process of planning your wedding and deciding whether or not a Disney wedding is right for you, I encourage you to jump into the community and get to know some of your fellow brides through message boards or Facebook groups. My best helpers where the Internet strangers I never met before my wedding day. Also, don't be afraid to contact Disney and ask them about possibly having a Disney wedding. They'll send you information, but they won't pressure you to decide on them.
If you're not sure about which side of the country you want to end up on, you should definitely get information for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Weddings at either location are completely magical, but they do have significant differences and you might be surprised to learn about the perks that each location offers.

No ring yet - but diamond earrings this Christmas! However... a little birdie told me that Jan or Feb are great months to get engaged... ;)
I got engaged on December 19th at the Hollywood Studios at the Dancing Lights! He arranged to have the disney photopass people there so we got pictures of it all!
Ooh, I did! Well, I suppose *technically* the proposal came in the last couple of days of November...but the ring and the making-it-public definitely happened in December. We're looking at possibly having a WDW wedding - likely December of 2011. But my mom was visiting for Christmas and I surprisingly already have a wedding dress on order. Wow!
