A couple notes on this year's contest:
- Instead of placing polls in one post, I've put them along the side of the blog. It will look a bit cluttered around here this week, but it's also going to be easier for your friends/family to find you if you're hoping to snag some more votes. Each person can only vote once (although you can change your vote if you'd like) and the results will be visible as soon as you've cast your vote in that category.
- Voting runs from today (January 24th) through January 30th. You have to use the polls on the sidebar. Votes emailed directly to me or sent to me in Facebook messages won't count toward the contest.
- Can't remember who you wanted to vote for? Here's another peek at the nominees for this year:

It happened on Monday March 8th, 2010! And I was soooo surprised! We planned a spring break cruise to celebrate our last spring break in college, and he had the whole thing planned before the cruise without me finding out. Monday night was dress up night on the ship so we go all dressed up and headed to take pictures with the characters, and then to dinner. After dinner we headed back to the room to change and go out to wavebands. I walked in and there was rose petals on the floor and on the bed in the shape of a heart, a photo book, Captain Minnie, rose bouquet and champagne. He told me to read the book, so I read it, it was the best thing EVER, he told me how much he loved me and how I changed his life and all the other mushy stuff and at the end of the book it said "will you marry me?". I wasn't expecting this AT ALL!! It was better than I ever thought it would be because he isn't the romantic type when it comes to setting up surprises!! I couldn't of asked for anything better!!! Stephanie + Thomas
So we walked around the park all day him with the ring in his jeans pocket. He was trying to find the perfect time to propose. He was going to do the whole castle proposal but wanted something a little different. At one point, he was on his phone so I went into his pocket to grab chapstick (i always do that) and he swiped my hand away and said it was in my purse. I almost ruined the surprise as the ring box was in that pocket! Later on through the day, I noticed he looked a little weird. I asked if everything was ok, you look strange. He said he was fine. He really wanted to do it early enough so I could call my parents and friends. Of course it did not work out that way. Finally at like 2:00 am, (Yay for extra magic hours!) we see Mickey and Minnie at Sir Mickey's with a PhotoPass set up. We get in line and as we join the line we hear the Cast Member say that "Mickey and Minnie are leaving in 8 mins." I was upset and all Tom said was I hope we get to get our picture taken before they go away. We were about 6 people back and lucky for us the family in front of us decided on a group picture. So we get up there, start taking pictures. Tom told me later he was debating whether or not to do it then since we were probably the last ones to see Mickey and Minnie since they were leaving. He decided screw it because this is what he really wanted to do and hoped the people online would understand. I turn to hug Mickey and I hear Tom say "Let's take one more." I turn around and there he is on his knee with the ring!

We walked by a Disney photographer, and Chris said "Hey! Let's get our picture taken!" And, honestly? I thought he was crazy. It was 9:00am on our first day at the Magic Kingdom, and the last thing I wanted to do was get my picture taken. The castle wasn't going anywhere, for Pete's sake. So, I said that in a much nicer way; rather, I said "Yeah, okay," in agreement, but I was hoping he'd forget about this outlandish suggestion. But he didn't! He said it again at another photographer. And then another. Until, finally, he stopped. "Jack, let's get our picture taken." "Okay," I said, verbally agreeing, but in my head I was thinking about how people were getting in line ahead of us on Splash Mountain. But, then, Chris told the photographer to hold on a second, and I stopped worrying about Brer Rabbit. "This is where it happens," he said. "Look, I know this is the most magical place in the world to you. But, to me, the most magical place in the world is wherever you are. And I hope we can keep coming here every year for the rest of our lives. Will you marry me?" And then he got down on one knee, and then I cried, and then he cried a little bit, and then people started shouting "Say yes!" and it was adorable. And I DID say yes! Well my daughter is one of the nominees. Voting count is a lot smaller today than it was yesterday. Was there a glich or something in the tally or the registering of the votes. Seems others are okay cause a friend of hers also was nominated and hers is okay. What went wrong.
Kathleen Diak - Mom of Dani/Bryan nominees. Thank you...just asking.
Yes, there is some sort of glitch with the polls.
Do we get to see the results??
Who Won???
Oh wow!! I just saw this blog post and thank you for nominating Candace and Zach's trash the wedding dress photo! Man, I wish I knew about this and I would have mentioned on my FB to vote ;)
