Amber: DIY Wedding Monogram

So after looking at PJ's ALL day..

I finally sat down and designed a monogram! I think it came out really nice and I love it!! And seeing the "J" next to my name....

I am going to use it on the front of the programs which will be a mickey head similar to this: (thanks to a DIS bride!!!)

Where else do you typically put a Monogram? Just anywhere you want? Our ceremony is going to be outside, so I probably wouldn't use a runner... but now I am in love with it, and want to put it everywhere!!

We used ours on the dance floor (lighted) and it was just about $100 for that. Other key places we used it: made stickers of it (printer at home) and used them to seal the invite envelopes, used it on the "bencher" or prayer book we provided guests (Jewish wedding), and we used it for thank you notes too.

we had a monogram on our cocktail napkins, and I thought that worked out great! We also had it on out place cards, to the left of the person's name and table name.

You can put it on postage stamps for your invites! Zazzle.com. A little pricier than normal stamps but oh-so-worth it for the wow factor, IMO! <3

Love the hidden Mickey! Great job!

Go ahead and use it on everything!
It could be used on cookies or chocolates to give to your guests. You could even put it on m&m's and put them out in a big punch bowl or in little bags for your welcome bags.
Go crazy and have some fun with it!

We had our monogram on our brochure in our out of town boxes, Thank you cards, Digital Picture Upload Cards, RSVP postcards...There are pics of all of these things in my blog. We also used the same fonts for all of our stationary to tie it all together! Enjoy your planning!

Great job Amber - I'm not usually a big fan of monograms but I like everything about your design!

Your design turned out really nice! Great job!

I've seen these things on invites (either to seal or as a "brand" at the top of the stationery), stamps, napkins, on stickers that seal the welcome bags, as the logo for all printed material, on aisle runners, as a Gobo projection on the dance floor or walls or on favors. They can really go anywhere you'd like. I'd just caution you to narrow it down to like 4 or 5 key places. There's this show on TLC called "Four Weddings" that had a couple do the logo on EVERYTHING and the rival brides kept commenting on how annoying the monograms got after a while. You want it to be a nice statement and not be overkill. Your guests know who's wedding it is so they don't need the reminder everywhere they look. :)

P.S. You could also add the monogram to your Thank You cards/envelopes.

Amber, this monogram is GORGEOUS!

Just a note: don't forget your wedding etiquette! The Bride's name should ALWAYS be on the left & be read FIRST.

GORGEOUS MONOGRAM!!!!!!

WOW thanks for all the comments everyone!!

I am definitely going to use it somewhere on my invitations, and the stamp idea is a good one!!

I also might put it on napkins!

I actually just found a "J" using google images that I liked, and then added the names and mickey in the monogram using Paint! :)
