Great job on the budget Russell and Michelle! I'm sure your post will inspire lots of hopeful Disney wedding couples and will let them know that you don't have to spend a fortune on a fun Disney wedding. :)

Great video too. I love the cinematic look and great job on getting all that coverage for not very much money (comparitively speaking.) Congrats to the happy couple!

You're breaking your rule about not posting outside photographers/videographers who go into the park "illegally" :(

I actually can't find anything about videographers...I put in an email to Disney and I'm waiting to hear back. If professional videography is prohibited, I'll pull the video. Thanks for checking in!

I really hope that they don't ban videographers too. This video was wonderful and gives me hope about my future Disney wedding.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!!! What a lovely wedding!!! (who cares about the video rule). Thank you so much for sharing your day!

What a unique video! There aren't many videographers who can create these vintage-like videos, so I am not surprised if it wasn't approved by Disney. If rules weren't made to be broken we wouldn't have electricity! :) I will be contacting GoNorth today. Thank you so much for sharing this!!

Wow. That is a great affordable price for the amazing beautiful wedding they had! If I saw this before I signed my contract with DFTW, you better believe I would be getting married there instead!

It is a lovely video, I would just think that the same rules behind banning professional photography (only Disney can make a profit off of their image) would extend to video as well. And on a personal note,a lot of people choose to have non theme park weddings because we can't bring in outside photographers OR videographers. Why is going into the theme park in your wedding dress with a professional videographer any different than going into the park in your dress with a non-Disney photographer to get pictures? You might say "rules are meant to be broken" but there are a lot of people following the rules (even the ones that are a gray area) who are being penalized for doing so. If they got permission from Disney to do this, that's great and it should be known. I bet you'll start seeing a lot more Save the Date videos shot in the parks. Just my 2 cents.

Disney still hasn't gotten back to me, but I'm really not sure if this is against the rules or not. The biggest difference that I see between this and bringing in a photographer is that you can hire Disney to take photos of you inside the park, but you can't hire them to film you running around the park. So if there's no official Disney option, I'm wondering if they don't mind.

As far as wearing your wedding dress, that rule is part of the strict "no costumes" rule they have to protect both the vibe of the park and children who might be confused by adults in costume who aren't working for Disney. I'm actually a big fan of that rule, even though it means no wedding dresses in the parks.

Disney does offer a similar service...it's called a Bridal Spotlight: http://disneyweddingsblog.com/planning-tools/video-bridal-spotlights/

What's with all the haters? I think the video is beautiful and it did a great job in covering their special day. Yes, non-Disney photographers aren't allowed in, but chill out people- it's a gorgeous wedding post! Her dress was casual and looked like something anyone would wear to a party. It totally makes me rethink having a Disney wedding. This looks totally affordable.

I think the Bridal Spotlights are only for brides and grooms in the park in their wedding attire before the park is open, like the photo sessions you can arrange with Disney. I don't think they offer a service where you can be taped in casual clothes running around the park while it's open. It would be great if they offered that though...anyone have any experience with that kind of video session?

I adore the footage, the wedding looks amazing, and they are both gorgeous!
What a fab wedding, this is making me think differently about Fairy Tale weddings.
Just found this blog, so going to have a good look around.

The no wedding dresses into the park thing, do you think she got away with because it's not overally wedding dressy & because the groom wasn't in 'formal wedding attire' or do you think she has bent the rules a little?
I'm just curious about what is & isn't allowed.
