Teeny disclaimer: I've been terrible about getting back to people who send me emails and Facebook messages, so I sincerely hope none of you have been offended. Our daughter is 3 months old this week (how that's possible I don't even know...) and it's simply been a scramble to keep everything together since she got here. I admit that I'll happily skip emails to spend time with her any day, so I don't know if my correspondence will ever catch up with me, but in the meantime I thought I'd address some common questions:

- If you'd like to submit photos for an event spotlight (honeymoon, engagement, wedding, whatev), fill out this submission form: http://www.disneyweddingblog.com/2010/04/disney-wedding-spotlight-application.html. The form also works if you want to submit photos for The Disney Baby Blog or general Disney photos for any of the other blogs.
- If you'd like to write a guest post, go ahead and write it and send it to me at carly@disneyweddingblog.com. Feel free to include photos if you would like. I'll have much better luck posting your guest post (with a few little edits) than I will getting back to you about a general guest post inquiry.
- I do have plans to go back to posting articles, styleboards, and other non-spotlight things (including more location info), but the spotlights are faster for me to post and these days it's all I can get out most of the time. So, hang in there and know that I miss the other stuff as much as you do!
- I agree that there should be more cruise weddings, big park weddings, gay/lesbian weddings, and weddings that are otherwise unusual. I just don't get them as often as I get the other ones so I usually have none to put up. I promise that I'm not skipping them on purpose! That being said, I won't always post cruise wedding spotlights if there is no professional photography, just because it can be hard to see the details if you only have a few snapshots.
- If I haven't posted your spotlight, it's because I currently have 104 spotlights waiting on the back burner...so there's at least 103 other people who might be popping up before you. I'll get there, I promise!

Amber: DIY Save The Dates and Invitations
So I worked on my mock std's, invites, rsvp cards, and website inserts.
I have the same concept, but just changed them up a little bit. As you can tell I have fallen in love with the Mickey and Minnie kiss silhouette, so I am trying to tie everything together. I changed the background of the std to white instead of the original black-which I figured will severely drain my ink cartridges...

Venue: Disney's Hollywood Studios - Backstage Prop Shop
The Backstage Prop Shop is a wedding venue available at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Although it's a theme park venue, this one is available during park hours, since it's removed from the park guests. It's also a little more intimate than it looks. It can seat up to 100 guests, but once you add in a dance floor and extras like that, the number of guests allowed becomes more limited.
Quick facts:
- You can arrange to have an old-time prop master meet your guests, complete with clipboard, keys, and general stage management stuff. He'll share trivia and make sure everyone feels welcome. (Or maybe I shouldn't assume that it will be a he? Sorry about the gender bias!)
- Other Streetmosphere characters are also available, including the actors and actresses that you might already be familiar with. You can also get Director Mickey, a magician, or a juggler.
- If you want to enhance your tables, you can do black chair covers, black cloth napkins, gold satin napkins, black sheer tablecloths with gold star underlays, or Hollywood centerpieces (a floating candle/gold star combo thing that's actually quite pretty!).
Amy: Planning Session Trip Report
We were a little late arriving for our planning session due to Shawn being sick and having to transfer at the Magic Kingdom before getting to the Grand Floridian. When we arrived we met with Amy and she is great! We walked over to the WP to see that right away as there was a 2:00 wedding that day. We loved it, as I knew we would. I couldn't believe how awesome you could see the castle through the window! Pictures definitely don't do it justice!
I had a bunch of questions, but she started by going through the whole timeline of the day, and by the end of it she had answered almost all my questions. We have a lot to think about now after meeting with her as we may be changing a few things as she suggested. After going through the time line for the day we did the cake tasting. Let me just say they seem so organized (or at least Amy does). It sounds like they have the timing for everything so perfectly lined out and I'm hoping it all goes as smooth as it sounds!
We actually agreed on the cake flavors pretty easily, we will be doing: Red Velvet cake with cream cheese filling, and Almond cake with Amaretto frosting. They were so yummy! Next with met with our florist, Warren, who was so great! This is one area where we are really on a budget and he was so great to work with helping us figure out how to get what we wanted and still stick to our budget. After this we had a little break before the tasting, so we headed over to the Grand Floridian to see some of the Christmas decorations.

Check out these Kooky pens I saw at Off the Page in California Adventure last week. I thought they were cute!
They are a Limited Edition Pen Set so I'm not sure how long they'll last. If they still have some left I may buy a set this week.
