Erin + Rick's Walt Disney World Wedding (Part Five - Dessert Party!)

After making their grand exit, Erin and Rick strolled around the Boardwalk for some pictures with the Roots.

Just the cutest couple ever!

While they were taking pictures we cleaned up. I thought I would surprise them and have their hotel room decorated with some of the poms and a snack of leftover pretzel bread.

Sadly, Erin spotted me as I tried to make my great escape.

Erin continued the tradition of being a barefoot bride.

All of the guests went back to their hotels for a much needed siesta. I know it was the first time in DAYS that I had a chance to close my eyes. Before we knew it everyone’s alarms were sounding and it was time for the dessert party at Epcot.

To carry the theme and to save money on décor we had a bunch of the paper poms moved over to France Upper. The florist charged Erin $10 per pom to have lights added to illuminate them. They were PERFECT.

The dessert budget was $18pp and we worked to customize the menu to keep it that way. As everyone always says there was way too much food. The cheesecake push up pops were the most interesting. Everything was delicious!

To save money Erin asked a family friend to take pictures.

Remember back on Day 1 I mentioned the Grooms wedding present? Well he drove up right behind him, started talking and scared the begezzes out of him! With a day that was planned out to a T, Rick still got the surprise of his life.

Meet PUSH! He was the hit of the wedding (sorry Turo). Yes, he got personalized Mickey ears too!  The adults had just as much fun with him as the kids did. Push drove around playing tricks and teasing people and everyone could not stop laughing.

Then it was suddenly time for the fireworks, PUSH got scared and ran away. Erin and all of her guests were surprised with 3D glasses to watch the fireworks. It was the first time I had ever seen fireworks in 3D and it was awesome.

After the fireworks PUSH came back, still wearing his 3D glasses, to hang out until it was time to go home.

Who would have ever thought that the event with the least amount of planning would turn out to be my favorite? :o)

Slightly out of sequence, we have two photos of Erin’s invitations. We designed them and Impressions printed them. They were special because they were double sided. The Luncheon and Dessert Party card were opposites and the invitation and response card had polka dot backs with hidden Mickeys.

Thank you Erin and Rick for allowing me to be a part of wedding. It was AMAZING!! It just goes to show that you can easily stick to the DFTW minimums and have a completely personalized, colorful and memorable wedding. :o)
